you're the author of your life
it's never too late to write a happy ending
I'm so glad your'e here!
A little bit about me
Hello and welcome! I'm Meredith—wife to a brilliant entrepreneur, mother to four energetic boys, writer of all the real-life things, and practitioner of intuitive arts which consider to be equal parts art and science.
I've spent a lifetime cultivating clarity, intuition, and connection sometimes in pursuit of my own healing and sometimes as a byproduct of it. Now, I have the privilege of using those gifts to help others recognize the wholeness that's alive and well in them and around them.
My formal education is in biological science and english, and my professional background has spanned from bartending, lactation consulting, and energy healing to business consulting, writing, and spiritual advising.
I've taught workshops on astrology, writing practice, energy work, parenting, health, and wellness, and I've facilitated groups of women, mothers, community activists, volunteers and entrepreneurs.
I have a personal writing practice that's become such an integral part of my life it's no longer a practice, it's just how I move through the world. It's helped me hone the invaluable skills of noticing, reflecting, clarifying and expressing. It's carried me through PTSD and the trauma recovery process, it's guided and supported me as I've rebuilt my post-recovery life, and it's produced over two million words in just a few years. I'm also a writer of creative non-fiction, some of which you'll find on the blog here.
Above all, my desire is to be generous. It's my belief that who we are is one great gift we have to offer the world, and all the things we make and do are simply expressions of that one gift.
I've done my best to make this site an online extension of who I am and what I do. I hope by the time you schedule your first session you feel like you know me—at the very least, like you know you'll be greeted with warmth, interest, and appreciation.
So let's tackle the elephant in the room.
You won't walk out of my office with platitudes and positivity exercises, prepared to bypass, high-vibe, and visualize your way through life's very real challenges. You will, however, come to appreciate all aspects of real life, seen and unseen.
The realm of spirituality and energy is where all real change begins, but the real world is where all the magic happens. And I'm not talking spells and potions, though if that's your jam, get at it. The magic I'm talking about is the energy that lies underneath the spells and potions, underneath the strategies and programs, underneath all the ways—practical and magical—that we try to manipulate our lives and our world. I'm talking about the energy that gives life and force to our every effort. Connecting to the magic of this energy directly allows us to flow in the direction of our desires, effortlessly. Not because we won't have to work for what we get—what a travesty that would be since satisfaction is in the process and in witnessing and being a part of the unfolding of our desires. No, there will still be work, but that work will be engagement, not effort. It will be participating with the energy of the universe in bringing about your desires instead of working against obstacles and your own resistance.
I'm practical to the core, with a scientific, analytical mind. Don't get me wrong, I love the mystery of life. And I believe that sitting with uncertainty is essential. When we try to soothe ourselves with assurances of how things will turn out or even who we are, we've only set ourselves up for the chaos and upheaval of deconstruction. But I also believe that, if we're going to be able to sit with uncertainty, we've got to be anchored in assuredness at the level of source.
I've had my fair share of real world challenges. Only when I planted my feet on solid ground, finding a way to let energy and spirituality live here in the real world with me,
Not so long ago, I was a savage skeptic myself. And it wasn't love and light that led me to the world of energy and spirituality. It was observation and experimentation, logic and reason—science. Quantum physics, Jungian psychology, physiology and
And while the opportunity for substantial and lasting change lies in addressing the energetic source, that's not where we're meant to live. We live in the real world. And that's not a disadvantage or detriment. The real world is a privilege, the whole point! How silly would it be to incarnate in a physical existence with the goal of simply finding our way back to where we came from. Talk about futility. No, I think we're here because this is where we most want to be. Because THIS is the good stuff, THIS is the more, the extra, the desirable place to be.
I have unshakable faith in love as the very fabric of the Universe, the thread that weaves through life and ties together all that is—including you and I. Love is the animating force of life.
I also have an unflinching awareness that love is not always what we express or experience. That love can become distorted until it no longer resembles itself. And that there is no greater pain than to find love missing in the places it's supposed to be.
See love even where it seems not to be, to restore order to all things, to reinvigorate the life force by eliminating what interrupts its flow.
Diving deeply into my own story liberated me from fears and beliefs that made my natural gifts inaccessible.
You are not the things that have happened to you, not even the things you've done. You are the person who lived it, and that person is defined by the story you tell about what those things mean.
It's where all the solid and real things we want to create and change arise from, so why not make it easy by working at the source, I figure.
Stars offer a reflection, not an influence.
Quantum physics offers a rational basis for energy work: we live in a frequency-based world, made solid only through our perception.
Carl Jung, founder of analytical psychology, noted the connections between astrology and psychology and considered astrology a sound and powerful way to understand the individual psyche.
We're not seeking relief. We're headed straight for satisfaction.
But I believe we live in a universe of expanding order.
Intuition is equal parts art and science: science based on laws of the universe, art based on the application of that science.
Quantum physics has proven that the object is changed by the observer—we work at the level of your perception.
